Insurance Women of Richmond, VA (IWOR) is a local affiliation of NAIW. Our members are a group of professionals who actively pursue excellence and encourage achievements. Membership in our organization offers many opportunities for the insurance professional. The truly successful person recognizes the value and necessity of intelligent planning, ceaseless effort and professional involvement. It is only through such activities that progress is made, both for the individual and for the organization within which he/she operates. IWOR has something to offer such a professional. Let us show you how membership can benefit you and provide you with an opportunity to contribute to the betterment of our industry.
National Association of Insurance Women, International
NAIW (International) is an association of insurance professionals dedicated to development of leaders in the insurance and risk management industry. As such, NAIW promotes personal and professional development, fosters a personal and professional network, capitalizes on the uniqueness and strength of professional insurance women, empowers members through effective communication and enhances to customers’ needs. NAIW has members that belong to local associations across the United States, Puerto Rico, India, Kuwait, Australia, Africa and Canada.
National hosts an annual convention in June of each year. The convention includes educational workshops, nationally recognized keynote speakers, awards and networking opportunities.
Region II
NAIW has 9 regions. We are part of Region II which includes: Delaware, Maryland, Washington D.C., West Virginia, Virginia and North Carolina.
Region II is led by a Regional Vice President who is also a member of the National Board of Directors. This person represents our interests at the national level.
Region II hosts an annual conference in the spring of each year. The conference includes continuing education (CE) opportunities, keynote speakers, awards and networking opportunities.
Virginia Council of NAIW
There are 11 local associations in the Virginia Council of NAIW – which represents over 200 members! The Council Director, Public Relations Chairperson and Membership Chairperson are available to help each local association achieve their goals, increase their membership and promote their programs and services.
The Council hosts an annual conference in the fall of each year. The conference includes continuing education (CE) opportunities, a keynote speaker, awards and networking opportunities. The council also awards an educational scholarship at the meeting.
